I have a cheap household learning remote (as cheap as $6 off ebay) and programmed the vidigauge remote to it... Works a treat...

Alternately you could use one of those Logitech Harmony remotes... Either way its good backup... Or if you have In Car Entertainment, it could be all in one for your car...
