What ever happened to the ECU files on the website?

Since the website update they have been 'by request'... So the adaptronic boys know exactly who's getting what...

IMHO this isn't the best move. Having open access to information is one of the things that attracted me to Adaptronic in the first place, and I have found looking at other people's files a good way to learn about the different configuration options, even when they were set up for completely different engines.

Maybe they can allow downloads like before but have an indemnity on the webpage?

I think they are OK with people having the tunes, they just making sure the right tune goes to the right person...

Hi Nathan,

The attached files might be a good place to start.

Hi all,

As Tony said, the main reasons we removed them is a quality control one. Many people have different standards as to what they'll accept, in terms of cold start, drivability and so on, so unless we can actually see it on the car it's difficult to give it to someone.

Supporting the maps is also difficult because we don't know which parts of them are done - eg is it a full tune, or just the triggering.

We're quite happy to give them out if people email us, but I understand that this isn't the same as just being able to browse the site and compare what different people have done.

I'll see if we can put them up, or put back up the implementation notes, or both.

Thanks for the feedback!
